After several hours of trading, the Broncos took advantage of Pick No. 98 Third round Friday night to draft Wis.-Whitewater offensive lineman Quinn Meinerz.

The 6-foot-3, 320-pound Meinerz started 20 games for Whitewater on Left Guard. He didn’t play in 2020 after his school season was canceled due to the coronavirus.

Meinerz was an All America first team in Division III in 2019. He was a late invitation to the Senior Bowl in January and had several formidable drills before contracting a broken right hand and missing the game.

The Broncos shipped # 76 to New Orleans for # 98 and 105 in the third round. The Saints chose Stanford cornerback Paulson Adebo. Pick No. 98 was a compensation selection to the Saints for the loss of free agents AJ Klein, Vonn Bell and Teddy Bridgewater in March 2020. Bridgewater was taken over by the Carolina Panthers from the Broncos on Wednesday.
