While nothing should surprise us anymore, it really did: Miracle Bars are back. Maybe they’ll save Christmas from being canceled this year too.

Right. The holiday pop-up franchise that has gripped the nation is kind of COVID-19 safe. And it’s coming back for us all winter.

The Denver area will be blessed with four Miracle Bar locations in 2020. For those who count, this is one more than last year; Yes, they are growing. Larimer Square, Avanti in the Lower Highland, Arvada Tavern and Por Wine House on Louisville’s main drag will be completed by the end of next month.

Only the upper floor of the Arvada Tavern is turned into Sippin ‘Santa. This brand has a tropical vibe with drinks like North Pole Punch and Rum Rum Rudolph.

Miracle Bar is more classic in its approach; think Christmapolitans and Jingle Balls Nog. But let’s be honest, it’s not so much the drinks as the glassware and the surroundings that are most exciting for us.

The least exciting? Trying to get a reservation and trying not to appear in everyone else’s selfie while taking turns sitting on the blown Santa Claus’ lap.

It is still too early to say whether there will be a Santa Claus to sit on or a Rudolph to climb on this year.

“Each popup concept will look a little different than in the past,” said a press release. “All (Miracle Bar) locations will follow instructions from their local officials regarding capacity and health guidelines.”

We will see what this means for mistletoe appearances and joint blitzen bowls with rum punch.

Miracle Bars and Sippin ‘Santa will begin in Denver, Arvada, and Louisville the week before Thanksgiving. Stay tuned for more details.
