DENVER (CBS4) – Late last month, the Colorado Rockies severed the ties on massive new mixed-use development of the franchise called McGregor Square. The 659,000 square foot facility includes three tours and is located on the square block directly across from Coors Field, 20th, and Wazee.
“We started designing this about three years ago. The times were very different then,” said Dick Monfort, owner of the Rockies.

Two of the towers on the property are 13 stories high, the third is 11 stories and houses a hotel, condominiums, restaurants, a food hall, offices, and retail space. There is also an outdoor space with a big screen for Rockies fans to gather on match days.
“Thanks to over 1,000 incredible craftsmen and women. That’s how we landed, ”said Monfort.

The Sage Hospitality Group operates the boutique hotel The Rally with 183 rooms.
“One thing I can promise you is an opening day win today,” said Walter Isenberg, CEO of Sage Hospitality, at the ribbon cutting ceremony.
There are 103 condos available for sale right now, starting at $ 500,000. The floor plans range from studios to 2-bedroom penthouses.

McGregor Square has been under construction since 2018 and is opening at a time when people are just starting to return to downtown after the pandemic quarantine. The Rockies hope there will be a tie all year round.
