BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4) – CU Chancellor Phil DiStefano is now quarantined at his home after testing positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday, according to a university press release. He has mild symptoms.
“I went to the campus surveillance program with my family and I am grateful we did,” DiStefano said. “Without them, we might not have known we needed to do diagnostic tests. We participate in contact tracing, and I encourage our campus community to use the campus monitoring program. Faculty, staff, and students with a Buff OneCard can still bring their immediate family and household members to attend. “
The Chancellor will reduce his workload to focus on recovery.
“Like many others, I have followed public health advice and taken this pandemic very seriously,” DiStefano said. “Our family’s situation is a reminder of the importance of continuing to follow public health guidelines and get tested.”
