Despite the tough economic climate and the coronavirus pandemic, Denver food truck owners are preparing to open a restaurant in spring 2021.
The Orange Crunch: Filipino Staples and Delights Food Truck has been a popular destination since it launched as a food cart in 2012, according to a Westword report.
The owners, Sarah Del Rosario and husband Leshner, then expanded the car into a food truck and catering company.
The trademark of the food truck is the Filipino, orange-colored empanada.
“It was the most unusual and delicious thing I have ever eaten,” Saraha Del Rosario told the news agency. “And you’re in the middle of the Philippines and you’re hot and sweaty and you eat that hot empanada.”
