According to the Denver Police Department, crime in Mile High City increased in the first part of 2018 compared to the same period last year. However, the problem is more acute in certain areas than others, as shown in the following list, which highlights the specific areas with the most crime reports in the first three weeks of this month.

Our source is the must-have Denver Crime Map that users can use to inquire about neighborhoods. We went further to look at the map locations where most crimes of all kinds were recorded. These areas are generally no more than a few blocks in size.

The following list lists thirteen different locations in Denver, making up the ten with the highest number of crimes from April 1st through April 22nd. Most of the crimes are relatively minor – public disturbances, drug and alcohol violations, theft of motor vehicles. However, severe attacks and robberies are also represented.

The total number of criminal offenses in the areas ranges from nineteen to over seventy in the 22 days depicted, with five locations in Five Points being among the worst rated.

For each point, arranged in descending order, we’ve listed two sample addresses to help you locate them. We also listed by category every crime that was committed during our investigation period. Get the details below.
