DENVER (CBS4) – The Denver Public Schools have announced their plan to study in person again for the spring semester. All students will continue studying under the new timeline through January 8th.
Then on January 11th, all ECE-5 class students, as well as all secondary SPED centers and newcomer centers, will return to face-to-face learning.
From January 19-29, other secondary school students will begin personal learning. Smaller high schools can also resume in-person learning, while some larger high schools can start with a hybrid schedule.
By February 1st, all students whose families have chosen personal learning will do so.
“We believe this schedule will prioritize the students who need in-person learning the most while allowing schools to plan and prepare for a full return to face-to-face learning,” the district stated in its update for families.
They add that the timeline could change depending on health advice.
DPS says it is working with other school districts on a “common approach”.
