ESTES PARK, Colorado (CBS4) – Two people were hospitalized after an explosion at Elkins Distilling in Estes Park. Authorities tentatively said three people had been injured.

Both victims were taken to the burn department at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley. one was flown and the other was driven, officials say.

The distillery is located on US 34 across from Lake Estes.

The police say the explosion took place around 9 a.m. It appears that the roof and part of at least one wall was badly damaged.

“The back half of the building is pretty well compromised,” said Mike Richardson.
