Broncos Safety Justin Simmons joined CBS 4 sports anchor Michael Spencer on Xfinity Monday Live just minutes after it was announced he was selected for his first Pro Bowl.

DENVER (CBS4) – “The first people I called were my family. My mother and father. My two younger brothers, ”Simmons said when asked how he reacted when he got the news. “To be honest, when I called my parents, they only yelled and talked for five minutes. It was cool. It was a really cool moment.

“I want to do the best I can on the field so I can keep improving the platform for what I can do outside of the field. We always felt that there was a bigger purpose and a bigger calling than just us, to play a sport and be good at that sport, ”he added.

The Broncos have two games left in the season, including a Sunday game against the Chargers, which can be seen on CBS4 in the Denver Viewing Area.
