Support the independent voice of Denver and help keep the future of Westword free.

The T-Wa Inn opened in 1984 at 555 South Federal Boulevard and is considered the first Vietnamese restaurant in Denver. The place closed in 2014 after 30 years and many ups and downs (including a car that crashed through the front wall in 2011). Since then, several Mexican restaurants have come and gone from the address, including Mariscos El Licenciado, Mr. Lucky’s, and Peyote Mexican Restaurant.

But Vietnamese cuisine has just returned to the building with the opening of the Saigon City Restaurant, which is now served daily from 10:30 am to 9:00 pm. Saigon City’s menu starts with Pho but includes a wide variety of rice and noodle bowls, salads, platters and chef’s specialties. For more information, please call 720-242-6211.
