LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) – British actress Helen McCrory has died at the age of 52.

McCrory died after battling cancer, her husband, actor Damian Lewis, announced on Friday.

“I am broken to announce that the beautiful and powerful Mrs. Helen McCrory has died peacefully at home after a heroic battle with cancer, surrounded by a wave of love from friends and family,” wrote Lewis. “She died while she was alive. Fearless. God we love her and we know how lucky we are to have had her in our lives. It burned so brightly. Now, Lille One, get up in the air and thank you. “

McCrory is best known for her roles as Narcissa Malfoy in the “Harry Potter” films and as Polly Gray in the “Peaky Blinders” series.
