San Antonio (Bexar County) An aspiring development team received the zoning required for a modest townhouse development in the East Side Denver Heights neighborhood.

The Zoning Commission on Tuesday agreed to change the zoning on two adjacent lots from Residential Mixed to Infill Development Zone-2 to allow the construction of six townhouse units. Development Services officials recommended rejection, but commissioners, citing endorsement from the Denver Heights Neighborhood Association, sided with the development team.

The lots at 123 and 131 Boudet Place are vacant and are at the end of a cul-de-sac. It is the developers’ intention to convert the land into six lots and sell each unit.

Jarrett AikenThe team spokesman told commissioners that each unit would have an area of 1,800 square feet. However, the concept site plan submitted with the application showed each unit area to be 1,200 square feet.
