A couple who designed and built a Hamptons-inspired home in Boulder sold it for $ 7.9 million last month and ranked number one in local home sales in April.

Dennis and Annette Martin, both architects, sold their newly built 5,665 square foot home on Norwood Ave. 1810 on April 15 to Vinay Nair.

Nair is the founder of New York-based The TIFIN Group, which, according to LinkedIn, invests in and operates financial technology companies.

According to public records, the Martins bought the property in 2017 through their respective trusts for $ 2.03 million. They designed a three bedroom, four bathroom home for the half-acre property in the foothills and commissioned Jamey Valentine Construction to complete it in 2019.

The couple, who are also travel enthusiasts, took their inspiration from a Hamptons house that had a framed view of the ocean in the main room, and they wanted to create the same vision in the mountains, according to Luxe Magazine.

The modern classic home was built around a central courtyard for privacy from the street. The view to the south of the Rocky Mountains can be seen from every angle as well as in the main room. Modern features have been added throughout the property, including underfloor heating, automatic curtains, Wolf & SubZero kitchen appliances, and custom tiling and lighting.

Tim Goodacre of Goodacre & Co. Real Estate represented the Martins on the sale and Zachary Zeldner of Compass-Boulder represented Nair.
