DENVER (KDVR) – A Denver police officer could be charged with an accident in another Denver police patrol car.

Jacob Lee Marsh, 38, was admitted to the Denver Detention Center Tuesday evening for investigating a vehicle attack.

A law enforcement source told problem solvers that Marsh was chasing a suspect at high speed in the wrong direction in his patrol car when it crashed head-on into another Denver police cruiser. The incident occurred on April 12th at the 4800 block of North Quebec Street.

FOX31 has asked the Denver Police Department (DPD) and the Denver Attorney’s Office for additional information, including whether the driver of the other DPD patrol car was injured. In addition, FOX31 asked why the suspect was being followed and whether the suspect was arrested.

A DPD spokesman would only confirm that Marsh was arrested for vehicle attack and said additional information would be made available on Wednesday, including the officer’s mug shot and the probable cause explanation, which outlines why Marsh was arrested.

This story will be updated as more information becomes available.
