After the Denver Broncos ran 1,000 yards for two consecutive seasons to start his career, Phillip Lindsay was plagued by injuries in 2020, rushing just 502 yards in 11 games.

After the worst season of his career, Lindsay is slated to become a restricted free agent in the spring. As a restricted free agent, Lindsay can receive an offer for the first, second or original round in 2021.

Since Lindsay was not drafted in 2018, a tender in the original round is unlikely. Since the tender for the first round is the most expensive, Lindsay can probably count on a tender for the second round in this off-season.

That year, a second round tender was valued at $ 3.259 million. It will likely have similar value for the next season.

If Denver puts Lindsay in a second round bid and another team makes the RB a better deal, the Broncos would have the option to either honor that offer or allow Lindsay to leave in exchange for his new team’s second round.

In 42 career games, Lindsay has rushed 534 times for 2,550 yards and 17 touchdowns, averaging 4.8 yards per carry. Lindsay has also racked up 77 receptions for 465 yards and one more points as a professional.

Lindsay will enter the fourth year of his career in 2021 at the age of 27.
